Ted Kyle is a pharmacist who works closely with the leading health and obesity experts on policy and innovation to address the obesity epidemic. He founded ConscienHealth in 2009 to help experts and organizations align on evidence-based approaches to health and obesity. Prior to founding ConscienHealth in 2009, Mr. Kyle served as director of policy and innovation for GlaxoSmithKline.

A key focus of Mr. Kyle’s advocacy work is access to care for obesity. Working with the leadership of the obesity community, he is deeply involved with efforts to ensure that both private and public health plans provide equitable access to evidence-based obesity care under the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Mr. Kyle has devoted much of his time to nonprofit advocacy, chairing The Obesity Society (TOS) Advocacy Committee from 2009 to 2013, and also serving on the STOP Obesity Alliance Steering Committee, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) Board of Directors, and the National Academy of Medicine’s Roundtable on Obesity Solutions. From 2014-2015, Mr. Kyle served as chair of the OAC. In recognition of his tireless efforts on behalf of TOS and OAC, he was presented with the Atkinson-Stern Award for Distinguished Public Service (TOS) and the Member of the Year Award (OAC) in 2012. Mr. Kyle holds 2 degrees from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, including a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration.
